Data Science and Machine Learning program is specifically designed to train you to be industry-ready. It is best suited for students with an inclination toward business and programming. It focuses on methodical data exploration and visualization, diagnostic analytics, predictive modeling using statistical and machine learning techniques. A quick introduction to text analytics and recommendation engines focuses on the practical application of machine learning.
You will learn material including:

A major focus of this class will be the machine learning process. You will consider potential ethical issues in their pipelines, brainstorm possible solutions, and formulate and present your own detailed data architecture.
Finally, you will be exposed to the various fields for application in business such as healthcare, hospitality, sports etc. The course would serve as basic foundation for students considering a career as data scientist or a machine learning expert.
A basic foundation in computer programming that includes python or R. Additionally, the course is designed for students with intermediate-level knowledge of statistics and probabilities. Moreover, homework and prep work before and after class is expected. This course recommends a laptop for course-related programming, games/simulations, etc. Please note that some devices (e.g., Chromebooks) do not allow software downloads onto a desktop and so will not accommodate the specific needs of this course.
